Job Title: Technology Lead

We’re one of Africa’s fastest growing startups in the logistics space, helping our customers ship over 6,000+ packages every month. We are looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to provide sound technical leadership in all aspects of our business. You will be responsible for outlining our technological vision, implementing technology strategies, and ensuring that our technology resources are aligned with the company's business needs.

You will communicate with employees, stakeholders and customers to ensure our company’s technologies are used appropriately.

Strategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this role. We expect you to be well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with a variety of business concepts.

Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Develop technical aspects of the company’s strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals
  • Discover and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage
  • Help departments use technology profitably
  • Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency
  • Build quality assurance and data protection processes
  • Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance
  • Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology
  • Communicate technology strategy to partners and investors

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Proven experience as a CTO or similar leadership role

We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer or CFO to perform effective risk management and plan the organization’s financial strategy. It is a very important and complex role since an organization can only survive if it actively investigates and safeguards its finances.

A CFO must be well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from simple accounting to broad investment and banking operations. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader since all relative departments of the organization will be under their command.

The goal is to protect the company’s revenues and profits to achieve full financial control and sustainable growth.

Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Drive the company’s financial planning
  • Perform risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments
  • Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
  • Control and evaluate the organization’s fundraising plans and capital structure
  • Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations
  • Supervise all finance personnel (controllers, treasurers etc.)
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports
  • Set up and oversee the company’s finance IT system
  • Ensure compliance with the law and company’s policies
  • Manage team of financial controllers and financial analysts.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Proven experience as CFO, finance officer or relevant role
  • In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP)
  • Ability to strategize and solve problems
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
  • CPA is a strong advantage
  • BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus

We are looking for a Logistics Operations Manager to take full control of the day to day management of our logistics operations. You will be responsible for managing the relationship between our business and our key partners and customers. Ensuring that our customers have a smooth experience while shipping products on the platform.

Strategic thinking, strong communication and resilience are essential in this role and we expect you to be well-versed in current trends in the logistics space.

Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Manage day-to-day operations of Terminal’s logistics business.
  • Maintain relationships with key personnel at all our carrier partners.
  • Analyse statistics and compile accurate reports
  • Control resources and utilise assets to achieve qualitative and quantitative targets
  • Take ownership of customers issues and follow problems through to resolution
  • Set a clear mission and deploy strategies focused towards that mission
  • Adhere to and manage the approved budget
  • Maintain an orderly workflow according to priorities
  • Identify new potential strategic carrier partners that improve the services provided to our customers.
  • Work with engineers to develop efficient management tools for day-to-day setup.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Proven working experience as a Logistics Operations / Accounts Manager.
  • Experience in providing customer service support
  • Excellent knowledge of management methods and techniques
  • Proficiency in English
  • Working knowledge of management software, databases and tools
  • Awareness of industry’s latest technology trends and applications
  • Ability to think strategically and to lead
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills
  • Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills

  • Set a clear mission and deploy strategies focused towards that mission
  • Develop service procedures, policies and standards
  • Keep accurate records and document customer service actions and discussions

  • Recruit, mentor and develop customer service agents and nurture an environment where they can excel through encouragement and empowerment
