DHL Express will introduce a Demand Surcharge of ₦1,260/kg on international shipping and ₦140/kg on local deliveries, from Oct 1st 2026 to Feb 5th 2027. This is to manage increased shipping demand and network capacity during the peak period.

What this means for you:

If you book an eligible DHL Express international shipment through Terminal during this period, the surcharge will apply to your shipment. This cost is not covered by Terminal and will be added to the shipping cost.
